The internet is literally littered with blogs, reviews and message boards where concerned consumers share tips with one another about how to cut insurance costs. The current Irish financial climate is characterised by high prices and shallow pockets and this means that more and more people are searching for cars and vans naasinsurance.ie and household insurance. However, does all the advice from ordinary people, on top of the information from insurance companies themselves, really help us in the way that it is clearly trying to?
The motivation behind researching consumer written blogs, message boards and reviews is the thought that these 'real' people, who have no vested interest in the insurance company at hand, are more likely to deliver real advice and sound information that the promotional content produced by the insurance companies themselves.
There may be something to this. It goes without saying that insurance companies, like any other commercial enterprise, engage in advertising and marketing strategies in order to present their products in the most favourable light. These methods of representation may result in a slight distortion of the truth by means of omissions and tactical emphasis. (more...)
